The sign is a vintage tin sign for Old Ripy Sour Mash Bourbon, a brand with a long history in Kentucky. This sign is dated 1974 and produced by Sanford J. Heilman Inc., were created as promotional wall decor for kitchens or bars. The Old Ripy brand was originally created by an Irish immigrant named James Ripy in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, around 1868. The distillery where the bourbon was made was in operation until 1950 and was located near the current Wild Turkey Distillery. It is for Old Ripy Sour Mash Bourbon, from Anderson County, Kentucky.It is a lithographed tin sign. It measures approximately 19.25 inches by 7.25 inches. This is part of my husband’s sign collection that was on the wall in his man cave.
