When email entered man’s life, it was the beginning of a new era. The long waiting for the postman to deliver our letters was no more; with the click of a single button all that you penned down in your message box was delivered to the recipient in a jiffy.

The email did not limit itself to personal messages alone, businesses grabbed this opportunity to communicate…communicate with their employees, stakeholders,existing and prospective customers.

Now that’s a whooping number..half of the world’s population on email. What began as a communication tool slowly transformed itself into a marketing channel. Businesses began to bombard their consumers with all the information that they ever needed on their products. No more door to door campaigns, though I must admit that in some parts of the world it still is in good use.
